Teaching

I enjoy teaching, and love to watch the results and progress of the students as they advance in their skills. It’s exciting to  teach a group of students together, and to see different painting styles  of each individual. By introducing and working with different mediums,  it challenges us to paint fresh and new. And of course there’s lots of work to be done on composition, design and color  theory.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      I teach painting one day a week to adults,  at the Charlestown Senior Center in Charlestown, RI. The class is open to all adults, not just seniors, and everyone is welcome to join. Contact the senior center for more info. Class is every Tues., 9:30 to 11:30, year around.  I like to have about 8 to 10 people max. per class. The morning class now as of August 2011, has some openings available, so feel free to call or e-mail me to sign-up. You may also contact the Senior Center. (See the contact section in the menu)

Our painting group is named the “Ninigret Art Guild”, because our class is located right in the middle of Ninigret Park in Charlestown, next to the U.S. Nat’l Wildlife Refuge on the “Quonnie” salt pond, next to the ocean. In the better weather months, we go on outside painting excursions. Here’s our website for more information: http://www.ninigretartguild.com
