Please bring in some favorite photos, magazine tear outs, that we will use for reference to compose an original painting. Some examples to bring in would be pics of beach scenes, sand dunes, water, skies, etc. There will also be some reference material provided in the class room.  The teacher will guide and demonstrate each level of your painting.

PAINTING CLASS IN CHARLESTOWN, RI    2015- ONGOING

I enjoy teaching, and love to watch the results and progress of the students as they advance in their skills. It’s exciting to teach a group of students together, and to see different painting styles  of each individual emerge.                     I  am an art mentor one day a week to adults,  at the Charlestown Senior Center in Charlestown, RI. The class is open to all adults, not just seniors, and everyone is welcome to join. I provide instruction for a small fee for students that request it. Other adults join the class and bring in their own projects to work on at no cost. Contact the senior center for more info. (Ph.# 401-364-9955) Class is every Tues., 10:00 to noon, year around.  I like to have about 8 to 10 people max. per class. The morning class now as of  2015,  has space available, so feel free to call or e-mail me to sign-up. You may also contact the Senior Center. (See below)

Our painting group is named the “Ninigret Art Guild”, because our class is located right in the middle of Ninigret Park in Charlestown, next to the U.S. Nat’l Wildlife Refuge on the “Quonnie” salt pond, next to the ocean. In the better weather months, we go on outside painting excursions. Here’s our website for more information: http://www.ninigretartguild.com

PREVIOUS WORKSHOPS 2012-2013

I am now being sponsored by Chartpak/Grumbacher International. This means I”m a teacher/rep for them, and will be running workshops and demos.

Grumbacher has partnered with Michaels Craft Stores, and I will be teaching acrylic painting to students using Grumbacher paints. See my “workshops” section for more detail.
